Frequently Asked Questions
A common service we provide is assessing the control panels throughout your facility to identify obsolete or hard-to-source components and highlight where your operation is most vulnerable. From there, we’ll help you develop a practical modernization plan that can be implemented over time, reducing the risk of a single component failure causing unnecessary downtime. Where an upgrade isn’t yet necessary, we can also help source readily available alternatives that provide the same functionality.
Absolutely. Whether your equipment is outside the original support window, the manufacturer or integrator is no longer available, or you simply aren't getting the support you need, we can help. We'll start by assessing the equipment and securing complete backups of the PLC, HMI, drives and other relevant control devices. From there, we can become your single point of contact for ongoing support, troubleshooting, upgrades and improvements. Our goal is to keep your equipment reliable, maintainable and performing at its best.
Breakdowns don't keep an 8-to-5 schedule, and neither does our support. When the unexpected happens, you can call us day or night for responsive troubleshooting and breakdown support. Whether the problem can be resolved remotely or requires someone on site, our priority is to quickly understand the issue, find a practical solution and help get your operation running again as soon as possible.
Our electrical capabilities are not limited to the control panel or the machine. We can handle the complete industrial electrical scope required to get your equipment connected and running, including bringing power feeds to the equipment, installing plant network and data connections, and completing all control and field wiring. Whether we're integrating a single piece of equipment or delivering a complete turnkey project, you can rely on one team to take care of the electrical and automation work from the plant infrastructure right through to the machine.
We take a brand-agnostic approach to industrial automation. Rather than pushing a particular manufacturer or platform, we work with your existing equipment and help you get the most out of what you already have. Our experience spans a wide range of controllers, HMIs, drives, robotics and industrial control equipment. When changes or upgrades are needed, we focus on the solution that makes the most sense for your operation, not the brand on the box.
Yes. Many facilities have reliable individual machines and processes, but no practical way to bring their production data together. Whether you're starting with little or no network infrastructure, already have an established IT network, or are beginning to develop your OT infrastructure, we can help build a solution around what you already have. By collecting data directly from your equipment, we can help automate the tracking of production, downtime, quality, waste and other important process information. This reduces time spent on manual reporting, minimizes entry errors and provides more complete and reliable information for making operational decisions. We can start small with the equipment and information that matter most, then build a foundation that can grow with your operation.
This is a common issue with equipment purchased from manufacturers outside North America, and we can take care of the entire certification process for you. We’ll assess the control panel and provide a fixed quote that includes the modifications required for certification, the necessary documentation and coordination of the on-site inspection. We take responsibility for seeing the process through from the initial assessment to final approval, so you know what it will cost up front and can focus on getting your new equipment into production.
Improving machine safety can seem overwhelming, especially when dealing with existing equipment that was not originally designed to meet today's expectations. We have a proven track record of helping plants modernize their machinery with practical safety solutions that protect employees while keeping equipment functional and productive. We can work with your team to identify risks, develop a practical path forward and implement machine safety upgrades that meet applicable requirements without unnecessarily compromising production. The goal is not simply to make equipment compliant, but to develop a safety solution that works for the people who operate and maintain it every day.
Yes. In fact, this is often where we provide the most value. We can act as your single point of contact and take responsibility for coordinating the different trades, suppliers and resources required to complete your project. We manage the details, keep the project moving and work to maintain the schedule from start to finish. Our goal is to provide a truly hassle-free experience, so you can stay focused on running your operation while we focus on delivering the project.
Our capabilities are not limited to any one industry. We provide industrial automation and electrical solutions for a wide range of operations, including manufacturing, food and beverage, building materials, oil and gas, and many others. Because every facility has different requirements, we focus on understanding your process and applying the right solution for your operation. We can also provide specialized electrical and automation solutions for hazardous locations where additional design, equipment and installation requirements apply.
Based in Southeastern New Brunswick, we routinely provide industrial automation and electrical services throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and the rest of Eastern Canada. For customers with equipment deployed outside our regular service area, we can also travel for start-ups, commissioning, troubleshooting and service. This allows you to rely on the same team that already knows your equipment, regardless of where it is installed, providing consistent support wherever your operation takes you.
Yes. You don't need to have all the answers before bringing us into a project. We can provide the consulting and engineering support needed to turn an idea, problem or operational need into a clear set of requirements. We'll work with your team to understand what you want to accomplish and develop a detailed requirements document that can be used for budgeting, funding applications or a competitive tender process. This gives you a clear scope to work from, helps contractors quote on the same requirements and, most importantly, helps ensure the solution you ultimately receive does what you actually need it to do.
